This week‘s Peacock releases feature a hauntingly striking Dracula horror movie and plenty more to watch.
Arriving on September 10, the supernatural horror film The Last Voyage of the Demeter follows a merchant ship carrying unmarked wooden crates from Transylvania to London. Unbeknownst to the crew, they are not alone on board. Legendary vampire Dracula is hidden among the cargo, stalking the sailors and hunting them down one by one.
The film features an ensemble cast led by Corey Hawkins as Clemens, a rational doctor. He is joined by Liam Cunningham as the resolute Captain Eliot and Aisling Franciosi as Anna, a stowaway with a tragic past. The doomed crew also includes David Dastmalchian as quartermaster Wojchek and Woody Norman as Toby, the captain’s grandson. Jon Jon Briones plays Joseph, the ship’s cook, while Javier Botet takes on the terrifying role of Dracula himself.
For romance enthusiasts, Redeeming Love releases on Peacock this week, September 7. The 2022 romantic drama is adapted from Francine Rivers’ bestselling 1991 Christian novel. Set during the 1850 California Gold Rush, it offers a powerful retelling of the biblical story of Hosea.
The film stars Abigail Cowen as Angel, also known as Sarah, and Tom Lewis as Michael Hosea. They are joined by Eric Dane as Duke and Famke Janssen as Duchess, with Nina Dobrev as Mae, Logan Marshall-Green as Paul, and Wu Ke-Xi as Mai Ling.
Also coming to Peacock this week is the 2025 thriller Drop. Starring Meghann Fahy as a widowed mother, the film centers on her first date in years with Henry, played by Brandon Sklenar. The evening quickly turns into a high-tech nightmare orchestrated by an anonymous tormentor, Richard, portrayed by Reed Diamond.
