S.W.A.T. Sneak Peek: Luca Is Back! But What Has Him Concerned?"/> <meta class="swiftype" name="body" data-type="text" content="Officer Dominique Luca "is back in the building!" cheers Hondo in TVLine's exclusive sneak peek from this week's new S.W.A.T. But what is weighing heavy on Luca's mind...?

In the episode "Escape,” airing Friday at 8/7c on CBS, Hondo and the team hunt down three female fugitives -- including a serial killer on the verge of a rampage! -- after a prison transport van overturns. Elsewhere, with Annie’s return to work, Deacon struggles to maintain a work life balance.

As for Luca, played by Kenny Johnson: As shown in the sneak peek above, he owes daughter Kelly (played by Johnson's real-life daughter Angelica) some driving lessons. But thus far, he fears his approach is at risk of alienating Kelly, for reasons detailed in the clip above.

Luca, as those who follow TVLine's reporting know, is one of two original cast members set for early exits during S.W.A.T.'s 13-episode farewell run. First up for a sendoff was Alex Russell's Jim Street, who last week decided to pitch in and lead 30-Squad based out of Long Beach, after their No. 1 died in the line of duty.

Johnson's own exit story is set for the April 5 episode of S.W.A.T., which will air after multiple weeks of March Madness preemptions.

“Looking at [Season 7] being the final 13 [episodes], we wanted to give everybody their proper curtain call,” S.W.A.T. showrunner Andrew Dettmann told TVLine at the start of the season, “so the episodes that we have for [Luca and Street] are really focused on their characters and the evolution of their storylines.

“I’m really excited about the episodes we have for [Luca and Street],” Dettmann reiterated. “The idea for the final 13 was that, if this was the end for us, nobody feels like they were underserved. There are some really good episodes fo Alex and Kenny, for Street and Luca.”
