OMG, Disneyland has had a rough week!!
On Wednesday evening, SWAT teams were absolutely swarming the California adventure park, leaving guests having to clear out of the area. Dozens of cop cars were reportedly flying up to the scene. Why? According to KTLA-TV, there was a hoax influx of calls reporting a mass shooting!
You may have heard of this before, it happens to celebs and online streamers quite frequently — it’s called “swatting” ugh. Fake calls to the police are made by groups of people, reporting a false crime, which sends tons of officers and first responders flying to the scene.

Per the outlet, the park was cleared and reopened soon after the police arrived, but how scary! And this isn’t even the first wild incident Disneyland had going on this week.
Just two days ago, we reported on how multiple people were sent to the hospital after getting super sick after smelling a mysterious odor. The cause turned out to be construction chemicals. So while it’s obviously great there were no mass shootings or bio warfare happening in the park, we can imagine both these incidents have employees and parkgoers alike on edge!
Reactions, Perezcious readers?
