It looks like Taylor Sheridan’s Tulsa King will continue with at least two more seasons as star and executive producer Sylvester Stallone is finalizing a new deal to return to the hit Paramount+ drama series for Seasons 3 and 4.
Deadline has explained that Stallone will be getting a raise from the $1.5 million per episode he was paid in Season 2, which was up from $750,000 an episode for Season 1.
Tulsa King has been a great show, and it’s been such a strong project and a great character for Stallone to play. According to the report, Tulsa King could go beyond four seasons, with spinoffs also a possibility.
In the series, Stallone plays New York mafia capo Dwight “The General” Manfredi in the series, and the story follows the mobster who is forced to relocate to the most unlikely of places—Tulsa, Oklahoma, after spending 25 years in prison after being unceremoniously exiled by his boss.
The mobster is faced with the startling task of reestablishing his Italian mafia family in the modernized, straight-shooting town of Tulsa. There, Sal encounters surprising and unsuspecting characters who follow him along his unconventional path to power.
In Season 2 Stallone’s Dwight “works with his crew to fight off looming threats from the Kansas City mob and one powerful local businessman.
“Dwight struggles to keep his family and crew safe while keeping track of all his affairs. Plus, he still has unfinished business back in New York.”
The series comes from writer Terence Winter, and it’s produced by MTV Entertainment Studios and 101 Studios for Paramount+ and is distributed by Paramount Global Content Distribution.
