Teen Mom: The Next Chapter star Mackenzie McKee can’t believe how much her oldest son already knows about sex.
In Us Weekly’s exclusive sneak peek of the Thursday, March 6, episode of the MTV reality show, McKee, 30, sits down with costar Briana DeJesus to discuss talking to kids about the birds and the bees.
“I had a baby at 16 and now Gannon is rocking my world,” McKee shares when referencing her 13-year-old son. “I had to talk to Gannon about sex!”
When DeJesus, 30, asks if she thinks her son is having sex, McKee says she hopes not. Ultimately, she found something on his phone that rang some alarms.

“The problem is I went through his phone and he was talking about b–wjobs and I’m like, ‘My son knows what a b–wjob is?’” McKee recalls. “My heart fell out of my butt.”
McKee — who also shares Jaxie, 11 and Broncs, 8, with ex-husband Josh McKee — says she feels “lost” about how to talk about sex with her boy.
DeJesus — who shares Nova, 13, with ex Devoin Austin and Stella, 7, with ex Luis Hernandez — responds by revealing that she’s already started the conversation with help from books.
“It teaches them about their bodies and what they are going to be going through,” she shares in the clip. “I gave them to [Nova] and she’ll read them and ask me questions. She knows what it is.”
While parenting has its struggles and curveballs, McKee can’t help but think of how strong her late mother Angie Douthit was as she raised kids. (She was diagnosed with cancer in 2018 and died in December 2019.)
“Having a teenager is a whole new ball game of parenting,” McKee previously wrote via Instagram on February 13. “The talks, the lessons, the changes they go through. All of it. It requires a lot of love, grace, and patience. The one thing that keeps me going is remembering that my mother made it through raising me so I GOT THIS 😆.”
Through it all, McKee is still hoping to expand her family with fiancé Khesanio Hall. In recent episodes of Teen Mom: The Next Chapter, the MTV reality star has documented her journey to get pregnant through IVF.

While she would like to focus on wedding planning as well, McKee said the priority remains getting pregnant.
“[Khesanio’s] just all about the baby but I’m going through IVF now because my tubes are tied,” she said. “I do [regret tying my tubes] now because I met someone, but I never thought I would be in a relationship like this, but I did it at 20.”
