Is Avengers: Doomsday in trouble? A recent event showcasing the film has fans worried about the main roster for the iconic superhero team.
The Avengers: Doomsday cast has left fans with a lot of questions. Not just questions of “Where’s Spider-Man?” and “Why does Doctor Doom look like the Tropic Thunder guy?,” but also questions about potential character interactions. After all, past crossovers of this size usually segmented their roster into specific corners of the story.
Fans got a bit of insight into how Avengers: Doomsday will handle this during a recent promotional event held by Disney in Italy. And while most of the teams seemed pretty standard, the roster for the core Avengers team has fans worried. While it features obvious staples such as Captain America (Anthony Mackie), Thor, and Ant-Man, it also features new additions like Shang-Chi, Falcon (Danny Ramirez), and Loki!

The Avengers Team In Doomsday
The big reason this roster has fans so on edge for Avengers: Doomsday is that it’s remarkably safe. It’s basically all the big names confirmed to be in the film, as well as their associated allies like Loki and Falcon. It’s also notably missing basically any heroines, many of whom have been Avengers before, such as Captain Marvel and Wasp.
Of course, these likely aren’t the only heroes appearing on the team in Avengers: Doomsday. It’s more likely than not that Steve Rogers will be picking up some kind of shield to join the team. And, with the TVA involved, characters like Sylvie and Mobius are certain to at least make cameos in the film when it finally hits theaters.
Avengers: Doomsday is set to hit theaters in December 2026. Stay tuned for the latest news regarding the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe!
