She’s not the late 70s-aged model of herself; she’s Rebecca at her prime. All the individuals she sees truly manifest as they might have been at the moment.”

“After all Miguel will get brief shrift – he was solely ever Jack’s good friend in the time-frame during which she sees herself. The large three seem as adults, however her flash of recognition appears extra palpable when she sees them as youngsters and younger adults. William symbolizes the confusion and self-flagellation that got here with maintaining secrets and techniques from Randal, and in her final moments, he (and the physician) allow her to forgive herself for her life’s errors. I believe his was extremely effectively dealt with. I am undecided if individuals actually had been anticipating the metaphorical ‘life flashing earlier than her eyes’, as a result of what they acquired was one thing important and profound: a girl, on the finish of her life, forgiving herself and being forgiven.”
