Tomb Raider fans can get a nice discount on Dark Horse’s recently published collection of classic comics. Tomb Raider Colossal Collection Volume 1 is on sale for $81.88 (was $100) at Amazon. The 888-page hardcover collects 33 comics originally printed from 1999-2003 by Top Cow Productions.

Now’s the perfect time to start reading Lara Croft’s classic comic book adventures. Tomb Raider Colossal Collection Volume 2 launches November 25. In addition to collecting the rest of the original run, Volume 2 includes Top Cow’s Tomb Raider: Journeys miniseries and several one-shots. Fans of the Crystal Dynamics reboot trilogy also have something to look forward to for next year. Tomb Raider Colossal Collection Volume 3 collects all of Dark Horse’s tie-in comics in one, nearly 1,200-page book.

Volume 2 and 3 are currently up for preorder for $100, but if you order now, you won’t be charged until Amazon ships your book; any discounts offered until launch will automatically be applied to your preorder when you’re charged.

$81.88 (was $100)

Top Cow’s Tomb Raider comics had been out of print for a long time before Volume 1 hit stores in July.

Volume 1 compiles 33 issues, each of which is roughly 25 pages. Here’s what’s included:

  • Tomb Raider: The Series – #1-24 and #26-34

In case you’re wondering, No. 25 saw Lara Croft team up with Witchblade, another Top Cow comic at the time. It appears that Dark Horse wasn’t able to secure the licensing rights from Image Comics, the owner of the Witchblade IP.

Volume 2 of Dark Horse’s Tomb Raider Colossal Collection wraps up Lara Croft’s original comic book series with No. 35-50 and two prequel comics.

After you finish reading Tomb Raider: The Series, you can dive into the Tomb Raider: Journeys miniseries. Volume 2 of the Colossal Collection includes all 12 issues of Journeys that Top Cow published from 2001 to 2003.

Though Volume 2 of the Colossal Collection has a smaller portion of the mainline series, it’s actually a thicker book thanks to the Journey miniseries and five one-shots. A few of the one-shots are essentially two issues in one; The Greatest Treasure of All (2005) and Arabian Nights (2004) are 48 pages each.

Here’s a full list of what’s included in the 944-page hardcover book:

  • Tomb Raider: The Series – #0, 1/2, and 35-50
  • Tomb Raider: Journeys – #1-12
  • Tomb Raider one-shots:
    • The Greatest Treasure of All (48 pages)
    • Arabian Nights (48 pages)
    • Origins (24 pages)
    • Takeover (36 pages)
    • Epiphany (40 pages)

Top Cow’s Tomb Raider comics released when the franchise was in its heyday, so they were quite popular at the time. The comics are set in the same continuity as the games developed by Core Design, making a few tweaks to Lara Croft’s story along the way. A talented roster of artists and writers were involved in this series, including Dan Jurgens, Adam Hughes, Michael Turner, Andy Park, Marc Silvestri, David Finch, and several others.

$100 | Releases April 28, 2026

Volume 3 will be the most colossal Tomb Raider collection yet. At 1,144 pages, it’s 200 pages longer than Volume 2. It compiles all of the comics Dark Horse published from 2013-2018 as tie-in stories for the video game reboot trilogy. These comics have been out of print for a while, but Volume 3 of the Colossal Collection brings all of them back in one book on April 28, 2026.

Here’s the full list:

  • Tomb Raider: The Beginning
  • Tomb Raider – #1-18
  • Tomb Raider Vol. 2 – #1-12
  • Survivor’s Crusade – #1-4
  • Inferno – #1-4
  • Lara Croft and the Frozen Omen – #1-5

Tomb Raider: The Beginning is a 52-page prequel comic to the 2013 Crystal Dynamics game. The 18-issue Tomb Raider arc that followed bridged the gap between the first game and Rise of the Tomb Raider.

Tomb Raider Vol. 2 is a 12-issue arc that kicks off with an investigation into a cult obsessed with immortality. It was followed by a pair of four-issue miniseries, Survivor’s Crusade and Inferno. These three storylines take place between Rise of the Tomb Raider and Shadow of the Tomb Raider.

Volume 3 also comes with the five-issue companion to spin-off games Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light and Temple of Osiris.

Writers who worked on Dark Horse’s Survivor Trilogy comics include Rhianna Pratchett–lead writer at Crystal Dynamics for the games–as well as Mariko Tamaki and Gail Simone.

Fans of the Crystal Dynamics trilogy should also check out the official tie-in novel for Shadow of the Tomb Raider dubbed Path of the Apocalypse. The well-received 320-page novel was published by Titan Books in 2018 and is available in paperback for $15.

The Colossal Collection isn’t the only throwback release for Tomb Raider fans to enjoy this year. The physical edition of Tomb Raider IV-VI Remastered released September 19. Just like Tomb Raider I-III Remastered, the collection received a budget-friendly Deluxe Edition with a steelbook case, 150-page exploration book, and more.

It’s also worth noting that Amazon recently restocked the Evercade EXP-R handheld and Evercade VS-R home console Tomb Raider bundles. The cartridge-based retro handhelds include Tomb Raider I-III and are sold for $130 each. The Tomb Raider Collection 1 is also sold separately for $27 (was $30). A second Tomb Raider Evercade cartridge with The Last Revelation and Tomb Raider: Chronicles is available for $30.
