Confusion surrounds whether Tori Spelling and her husband Dean McDermott are separating, after the actor and comedian retracted a statement he posted online announcing their split.
A source now says that they will not be getting a divorce.
McDermott, 56, posted a lengthy statement on his Instagram page on Saturday June 17, but took it down a few hours later.

The since-deleted statement read: “It’s with great sadness and a very very heavy heart that after 18 years together and 5 amazing children, that @torispelling and I have decided to go our separate ways, and start a new journey of our own,” which was accompanied by a photo of himself and Spelling, as well as another of their children.
“We will continue to work together as loving parents and guide and love our children through this difficult time. We ask that you all respect our privacy as we take this time to surround our family with love and work our way through this. Thank you all for your support and kindness,” the Canadian actor and comedian wrote.
Closely following his deletion of the post, however, an insider clarified to Us Magazine that the couple will not be separating at all.
“Tori and Dean are not getting a divorce,” the source confirmed.

Their marriage was rocked for the first time when McDermott publicly admitted to cheating on Spelling in 2014, on their reality TV series, True Tori. The Canadian actor said of his actions, “I feel shame. I’ve never felt shame before.”
Divorce rumours came to a head when McDermott was left out of the 2021 family Christmas card, with spelling defending her husband by saying he was busy filming in Canada at the time it was taken.
