Netflix has released a season 2 announcement trailer for their animated Halloween series Haunted Hotel, which premiered on the streamer last September.
The supernatural horror comedy series follows mother Katherine Freeling (Eliza Coupe), older brother Ben (Skyler Gisondo) and little sister Esther (Natalie Palamides) as they move out to the damp and foggy woods of upstate New York to take up management of a dingy, old-fashioned hotel left to them by their uncle Nathan (Will Forte) after his mysterious death.
However, this is no simple family-business sitcom, as the titular hotel is haunted by a seemingly endless array of ghosts, ghouls, miscellaneous monsters, a demon trapped in the ageless body of a little boy… and the ghost of uncle Nathan himself, who, while still as friendly and easygoing as he was in life, has no desire to give over hotel management duties quite so easily.
The format of the show parodies popular horror franchises of the past, so there’s plenty of material out there to keep going for as long as the creator (Matt Roller) would like to keep it going. It’s a fun idea to have a series that returns each Halloween season with fresh content!
