Variety reports Toy Story 5 has a 250M$ budget, making it tied to the second most expensive animated film ever

Overseas, “Toy Story 5” is expected to open to $135 million or more for a global tally above $275 million. It carries a $250 million budget, not including the global marketing expenses.

The film has the same budget as the "live-action" version of The Lion King, and they both share the 2nd spot for the most expensive animated film ever. The first spot belongs to Tangled, which was made for 260M$.

Naturally, that means TS5 is Pixar's most expensive film ever.
