Warhammer Skulls, the ultimate festival of Warhammer video games once again brought a Titan-class level of Xbox news today. Hosted by Rahul Kohli, the voice of Malum Caedo from the recently launched Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun, the Skulls Showcase starts an exciting week of world premieres, exciting new announcements and content reveals for Xbox fans. The launch of the showcase also blasts off a week of huge deals on the Xbox and Windows Store with up to 80% off savings during the event.

Over on PC Game Pass, titles such as Total War: Warhammer III, and Warhammer 40,000: Darktide both had new content updates. Meanwhile, on the Windows 10/11, there are a bunch of great deals to be had on many more Warhammer titles. Let’s deep-dive into the news, reveals, and updates for the Warhammer Skulls Festival to find out more:

Big News and World Premieres

Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realms of Ruin, a massive new announcement from Frontier Developments, premiered with an awesome trailer showing what fans have in store. The first-ever large-scale Age of Sigmar real-time strategy game, Realm of Ruin is set in the expansive Warhammer Age of Sigmar universe and will let you command up to four unique factions in a realm-shattering expansive fantasy coming to Xbox Series X|S.

The action didn’t stop there though, Focus Entertainment and Saber revealed an exclusive gameplay trailer for the highly anticipated Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, showcasing a first look at a Tyranid horde for players. Warhammer also revealed the new Titus Warhammer 40,000 tabletop miniature.

We also saw more from the recently released retro shooter, Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun with Rahul Kohli talking about his role in the game and how he came to be involved. We also revealed new Boltgun-inspired Xbox Design Lab controllers from Xbox. These come in preset colour schemes, including an Xbox Wireless Controller in Ultramarines blue and a Sternguard Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 in white and blue.

Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader was back this year, showing off a new trailer with brand new locations and enemies, a reveal of a new companion – the Space Wolf, Ulfar – a taste of void battles, and finally a brief glimpse into the nefarious machinations of Chaos and its role within the narrative! The game will be coming to Xbox Series X|S at launch, so stay tuned for more on the first ever cRPG set in the Warhammer 40,000 universe.

Skulls also included trailers for Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector, which showcased and dropped the brand new Orks DLC, available now; Warhammer: Vermintide 2 from Fatshark, revealing new Karak Azgaraz levels and teasing Sienna’s new career; the reveal of the free Lizardmen team coming to Blood Bowl 3 as part of the Season 1 launch in June; and new hats and leaderboards arrived for Warhammer 40,000: Shootas Blood & Teeth.

Warhammer on Game Pass News

Total War: Warhammer III celebrated 40 years of Warhammer by announcing and releasing legendary hero Harald Hammerstorm into the game with patch 3.1 – Harald is the very same character who graced the cover of the first ever Warhammer box set in 1983. Also in this update, the Chaos Dwarfs end-game is added for Immortal Empires.

The huge Rejects Unite content drop was also unveiled for Warhammer 40,000: Darktide, which introduces two new missions – Archivum Sycorax and Ascension Riser 31 (part of the first community event) – earnable cosmetics, inventory view improvements, and, excitingly, a new enemy, the Chaos Spawn! All this plus community events and challenges.

Warhammer in Other Games

Powerwash Simulator announced its brand new collaboration with Games Workshop bringing the grim dark and apparently dirty universe of Warhammer 40,000 into the squeaky-clean world of simulated washing – coming soon to the game on Xbox.

Additionally, World of Tanks: Modern Armor showed off its celebration of Warhammer 40,000 with the recently released Leman Russ tank and Warhammer 40,000 commanders.

By the Emperor, that was a lot of Warhammer goodness! And that’s just some of the highlights of the new awesome Warhammer content showcased and coming soon. Don’t forget, you can check it all out, and grab some great deals, on the dedicated Warhammer Skulls Festival landing page over on Xbox and Windows 10/11.
