We popped into Los Angeles Magazine’s fourth annual Best of Beauty Awards celebration this week at Cameo Beverly Hills for a day of beauty, community, and the best local products!
The afternoon event brought together the brands, products and industry pros behind this year’s winners list, and the energy was exactly what you’d expect: a room full of glowing skin, a lot of genuinely good product samples, and a crowd that could probably identify a cream-to-powder blush formula from ten feet away.
The event was a well-curated setup that felt less like a stuffy awards show and more like a party thrown by people who actually love this industry!

A few winners that caught my eye
LA Mag’s full list runs more than 40 categories deep, but a handful of this year’s winners stood out to me specifically because they’re such deeply LA names:
- Clayton Hawkins, the L.A.-native hairstylist behind red-carpet looks for Jenna Ortega and Olivia Rodrigo, took the Hairstylist category.
- Juan Juan Salon in Brentwood, a neighborhood fixture for over 30 years, won Iconic L.A. Salon. It also happens to be my go to!
- Dr. Safa Sharabi, a Santa Monica plastic surgeon known for a patient-first approach, won for Plastic Surgeon.
- Swissa Med Spa, founded by Botched alum Ruth Swissa with locations in Calabasas and Beverly Hills, took MedSpa.
- Hol’Up Pomade, a vegan pomade actually made here in L.A., won Vegan Pomade.
LA Magazine’s full breakdown covers a lot more ground across skincare, makeup, hair and wellness. Check out the complete 2026 Best of Beauty Awards winners here.
LA Magazine’s Best of Beauty is one of the more fun, well-curated snapshots of what’s actually resonating in this city’s beauty scene right now, straight from the people building it. They also gave attendees the most fabulous gift bag so be sure to mark your calendars for next year!
