On the heels of the announcement earlier this fall that WEBTOON Entertainment Inc., a global entertainment company home to some of the world’s largest storytelling platforms and stories, had partnered with The Walt Disney Company to bring original new stories to the vertical scroll platform based on iconic Disney IPs, comes another exciting collab from WEBTOON that seeks to further its presence in Hollywood. It was announced on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, that WEBTOON Entertainment is partnering with Warner Bros. Animation to co-produce 10 animated series, based on fan-favorite webcomic series from both the Korean-language and English-language versions of the vertical scroll webcomics platform.
“WEBTOON has become one of the most exciting sources of original storytelling in entertainment today,” said Yongsoo Kim, Chief Strategy Officer and Head of Global WEBTOON. “Our Creators are building franchises that Gen Z audiences love, and working with Warner Bros. Animation gives us an incredible opportunity to take those stories further alongside one of the most respected names in animation.”
The collaboration with Warner Bros. Animation marks yet another major expansion of WEBTOON Entertainment’s digital presence and webcomics-to-film/TV adaptation pipeline. Selected titles will come from both its Korean and English-language platforms, with development support from WEBTOON Entertainment’s U.S.-based WEBTOON Productions and Japanese IP business teams.
With approximately 155 million monthly active users and an extensive brand expansion strategy, WEBTOON has seen that these new initiatives are attractive to investors. The company is currently valued at $2.15 billion and has seen its stock price surge 72% over the past six months, following a series of back-to-back announcements of plans to expand its content development initiatives—as well as an overall trend in the growing webcomics market, which is projected to grow from $6.1 billion in 2025 to more than $58 billion by 2035, according to finimize.
“Following these developments, Evercore ISI raised its price target for Webtoon to $23, maintaining an Outperform rating,” reports Investing.com. “Similarly, Goldman Sachs increased its price target to $15 while keeping a Buy rating, citing strong performance in WEBTOON’s English-language web comic app. Both analyst firms highlighted the significance of the Disney partnership in their assessments. These recent developments indicate a promising outlook for WEBTOON Entertainment as it continues to expand its digital footprint.”

The press release states that the initial development slate includes the following four titles, with the rest of the adaptations to be announced at a later date:
