Brooklyn Peltz Beckham and wife Nicola Peltz Beckham’s wedding allegedly caused friction with his mother, Victoria Beckham.
Brooklyn, 26, and Nicola, 30, got married in April 2022 with a star-studded ceremony and reception held in Palm Beach, Florida, capped off with a performance from Marc Anthony. (The Latin Grammy winner, 56, is a longtime friend of Victoria, 51, and her husband, David Beckham.)
“The dance was a meaningful centerpiece planned just for the couple,” a source close to the family exclusively tells Us Weekly. “It was a generous gift from Marc Anthony that the Peltz family put significant time and resources into, including staging and a live band at their home.”
During Nicola and Brooklyn’s dance, Anthony allegedly asked Victoria to join him onstage. (People reported that Anthony called the former Spice Girl “the most beautiful woman in the room,” which allegedly left Nicola in tears.)

“It’s sad and inexplicable that such a special moment was hijacked,” the insider tells Us. “But, Marc Anthony had no ill intentions.”
A second source who attended the nuptials, however, insists that Nicola didn’t cry over the moment, and it wasn’t ruined at all.
“At the reception dinner, as is traditional, there were speeches and then the happy couple took to the floor for their first dance. In fact, they had two dances,” the second insider says. “After this, Nicola had a dance with her father, Nelson. And at this point, normally the groom would dance with his mom [and] for whatever reason, it didn’t happen then. There was a band, everyone got up to dance after that.”
According to the second insider, Anthony performed later during the celebration.
“Everyone got up to dance, and as part of this, he pulled his best friends David and Victoria up on stage with him,” the second source tells Us. “And then, [he] grabbed Brooklyn to dance with his mom and [his sister] Harper danced with David. [Brooklyn’s brother] Cruz also got up with Eva Longoria. It was a fun family moment.”

Brooklyn is the eldest child of David, 50, and Victoria, who also share Romeo, 23, Cruz, 20, and Harper, 13. The entire Beckham family was present for the big day and, according to the second source, no one was aware Nicola was allegedly upset.
“No one realized in the moment that Nicola was upset as she just stormed out of the room,” the second source claims. “She returned later and appeared to be totally fine and the evening carried on to an afterparty with a DJ. Everyone there was utterly mystified as to why Nicola would get so upset about her husband having one dance with his mom at their wedding.”
Us Weekly has reached out to reps for Brooklyn, Nicola and Victoria. Victoria and Nicola’s teams had no comment.
Brooklyn and Nicola’s wedding dress drama resurfaced in light of the ongoing reports that the couple remains at odds with his family after they skipped David’s 50th birthday party earlier in May. Weeks later, the aspiring chef made it clear that Nicola was his top priority.
“My whole world. I will love you forever,” Brooklyn wrote via Instagram on May 24, sharing photos from a motorcycle ride with Nicola. “I always choose you, baby. You’re the most amazing person I know. Me and you forever, baby ❤️❤️.”
None of the Beckhams have publicly addressed the feud speculation.
