Morgan Bell’s Married At First Sight journey in season 15 was a messy one, and she might want to take accountability for her part in her marriage to Binh Trinh not working out. Season 15 took place in San Diego and featured five couples. Morgan and Binh, Justin Hall and Alexis Williams, Lindy Elloway and Miguel Santiago-Medina, Stacia Karcher and Nate Barnes, and Mitch Silverstein and Krysten Collins all got married to a stranger.
Morgan asked Binh for a divorce shortly after returning from their honeymoon, making them the first couple of Married at First Sight season 15 to split. All the couples except Morgan and Binh made it to Decision Day, with only Mitch and Krysten saying no. However, all the couples have since broken up, with Lindy and Miguel being the latest to announce their divorce in February 2023. In hindsight, it’s clear that Morgan was too hard on Binh for his faults in their short marriage.

How Morgan & Binh’s Marriage Crashed & Burned
Morgan Put All The Blame On Binh
Morgan first felt betrayed by Binh Trinh when she heard he’d been confiding in Justin behind her back. However, it’s unrealistic to expect Binh to talk to anybody besides her in the MAFS experience. It’s a massive leap of faith for everyone involved. The problems started during the tropical MAFS honeymoon when Binh talked to Justin about his confusion about Morgan’s job status. He thought she was lying about being a nurse while still in school.
Morgan is a full-time nurse but returned to school to complete her Bachelor’s degree. Morgan felt this was a significant betrayal. She put her walls up, and it looked like there was no bringing them down. Then Pastor Cal reminded Morgan that she was in control of lowering those walls, and it seemed like MAFS‘s Morgan and Binh were on the mend.
However, things took a dark turn when Alexis informed Morgan that Binh was still confiding in Justin. Alexis said that Binh frequently called Justin to vent about his marriage. Also, Alexis claimed that while Justin was on speakerphone, Binh said some offensive things about Morgan. Once MAFS‘s Morgan got this information, she confronted Binh and packed her bags to leave the apartment. MAFS‘s Binh and Morgan were finally vulnerable before the Justin speakerphone incident, but that was short-lived. The couple was scheduled to film together a few days later for a walk down memory lane, where they got married.
Binh Tried To Win Morgan Back
Morgan Was Unreasonable
Binh showed up to the memory lane walk with flowers, and Morgan showed up with a vengeance before tossing those flowers in the dirt (via Lifetime.) Morgan said she thought she was meeting someone “who was going to have her back at all times” but felt Binh “was not that man.” She confronted him about talking to Justin. In a classic game of telephone, MAFS‘s Morgan revealed that Alexis said Binh told her that Morgan was mad because his family was perfect. Morgan said Binh wasn’t listening, but Morgan hardly let him speak and repeatedly cut him off.
She finished by saying, ”
you lied to my face multiple times. Any ounce of respect I had for you was gone
.”
The MAFS experts have failed Binh and Morgan by pairing them together.
Morgan already felt alienated and rejected by her dad growing up. In many ways, it feels like Morgan was projecting anger at her dad at Binh. It wasn’t cool that Alexis heard Binh’s unfiltered thoughts about Morgan; however, it seems more like Justin’s fault as he didn’t create a safe space for Binh to open up. Morgan was demanding that Binh agree that he was entirely in the wrong. She made no room for his perspective, feelings, or experience. Married At First Sight‘s Morgan brought many red flags to the table.
Even though Binh apologized for talking to Justin, Morgan continued to reprimand him.
Binh said in his Married At First Sight interviews, “this whole thing to me has been a nightmare” and “I was just venting.”
Justin is a person Binh can trust, but Morgan doesn’t care. When Morgan said there was no respect between them, she didn’t acknowledge how she contributed to that. It was frustrating to watch Morgan berate Binh endlessly. Binh wasn’t innocent, but Morgan lacked crucial empathy and adult communication skills. She finished the conversation by saying she’d complete the process only so Binh would have to show up and feel guilty every time he saw her.
It’s For The Best That Morgan & Binh Didn’t Work Out
They Both Would Have Been Miserable
Morgan showed she was capable of acting understanding, reasonable, and excited towards Binh, as evidenced by their wedding day and the very beginning of the honeymoon. However, she was consistently making a choice to be hard on Binh, almost as if proving a point was more important than taking a step back and trying to figure out how their relationship could work. Morgan checked out early on and masked that fact by trying to put an unreasonable amount of blame on Binh.
Binh was wrong for breaking Morgan’s trust by telling Justin too many things, but she took her disdain too far.
In the end, Morgan showed her true colors in the way she unjustly treated Binh. It’s for the best that the pair didn’t end up together because Binh would have likely been overwhelmed by Morgan’s inability to let things go and look at the bigger picture. Morgan’s lack of forgiveness is something Binh would have had to contend with consistently. Moreover, based on her behavior on the show, Morgan would have tried to find more faults in Binh, and their marriage would have likely spiraled deeper.
These days, Binh is still single and working as a fitness influencer. Morgan has a private Instagram but touts that she is still working as a nurse. The pair have both moved on in the years since their ill-fated marriage, and it’s for the best because they ultimately were badly matched and badly counseled by the Married at First Sight experts. They’ve taken different paths in life, proving that they had big personality differences and differences in how they wanted their future to look.
