The upcoming season of Euphoria is facing more challenges — this time between two of its biggest stars: Zendaya and Sydney Sweeney!
According to DailyMail.com on Saturday, the leading ladies are caught in a “bitter feud” — with the Disney Channel alum wanting NOTHING to do with Sydney! Uh oh!
Can you guess what tore them apart?? We’ll give you a hint, it’s something Sydney’s been in the news about a TON lately!

Yup, it’s their very different political views!
As Perezcious readers know, the Anyone But You star has often faced controversy for her viewpoints, such as the time she attended a MAGA birthday party for her mom, or most recently, her response to the American Eagle campaign backlash.
Because of all this, Zendaya has been left feeling super upset, and she’s “refusing” to do any press calls for the third season of the show with Syd! Now that filming finished earlier this month, Tom Holland‘s wife-to-be is just over it. One source dished:
“It’s no wonder she’s refusing to do it. It’s a difficult position for Zendaya to be in because if she even stands next to Sydney on the red carpet, it can be read as her excusing Sydney’s views on Trump and her refusal to apologise for the racist ad.”
The actresses were once close friends, so things have really deteriorated over the years!
But, as mentioned, this distance comes as Sydney has publicly refused to apologize for the jeans ad, which was slammed for seemingly promoting white supremacy. Speaking to GQ last week, the Christy star said:
“The ad spoke for itself. I did a jean ad. The reaction was a surprise. When I have an issue I want to speak about, people will hear.”
She also said it was “surreal” to see President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance show their support to her during the scandal. Yeah, very different than how The Greatest Showman star would likely react — she’s been outspoken against Trump for years now!
We’ll have to keep an eye out for these two and see if they really do stay away from each other during upcoming promo! Sounds complicated behind the scenes!
