The excellent Final Fantasy VII Remake series has tons of content packed into it but with Final Fantasy VII Revelation being the final part of the thrilling trilogy, many will be hoping for additional content to arrive at a later date. In a new Famitsu interview, Naoki Hamaguchi, said that he knows fans wanted DLC in Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth but the development team wanted to soldier on ahead with Final Fantasy VII: Revelation. However, if demand is there for Final Fantasy VII: Revelation (i.e it sells well) then it is something the team will do. Here’s what Hamaguchi, said via machine translation.
This might be premature, but are there any plans for DLC (downloadable content) after the game is completed?
Hamaguchi: We received many requests for DLC for ‘FFVII Rebirth’ as well. However, we decided that it would ultimately be better for our users to invest all our development resources into ‘FFVII Liberation’ and release it to the public as quickly as possible, rather than creating DLC at that time.
FFVII Liberation’ will conclude the series, but if there is significant demand and requests from users after release, we would like to actively consider addressing the requests for more details and exploring aspects that haven’t been depicted yet, including previous spin-off titles.
