Prince Harry is settling back into life in the UK – and that includes cosy pub lunches. The Duke was seen, for the first time since returning to the UK with wife Meghan and their two children, enjoying food and drinks at The Falkland Arms in the Cotswolds, where the family hope to build a new life.
New pictures showed the the husband and wife walking hand-in-hand into the 16-th century pub, with Meghan, 45, bringing California chic to the Cotswolds in navy blue straight jeans and a black sweater, while Harry represented their former hometown in a Santa Barbara fire department cap, paired with light-wash denim jeans and a grey tee, keeping warm with a puffer jacket.
Inside the pub, Meghan reportedly dined on a £18.25 portion of gluten-free beer-battered haddock and chips with mushy peas and tartare sauce, while Harry chose a £17.95 chicken, ham and pie with seasonal greens, creamy mashed potatoes and gravy.
Insiders told The Sun that the pair received no special treatment, because everyone is treated like royalty.
Located in Great Tew, close to where the Beckhams live, the pub is made from honey-colored local ironstone and has original flagstone floors, oak beams, and an inglenook fireplace.
The attached bed&breakfast has seven en-suite bedrooms that range from $132 to $203 a night depending on the season.
In September, Meghan was spotted enjoying lunch with Ellen DeGeneres, 68, and her wife, Portia de Rossi, 53, at the Three Horseshoes pub in Burford.
It’s been five weeks since the former royals shocked the world by returning to the UK, almost seven years since they made the surprising decision to leave behind their royal titles and responsibilities for a life in California.
Their children – Prince Archie, seven, and four-year-old Princess Lilibet – have since been enrolled in local schools, and it is believed Harry hopes to spend more time with his father, King Charles, who has been battling cancer.
However HELLO! understands that Harry has not seen his father face-to-face since returning, although they are thought to have spoken on the phone.
The pair were estranged for some time after Harry criticized the royals in his 2021 Oprah interview, the 2021 Netflix documentary, and his autobiography Spare, all after stepping down from the working monarchy six years ago.
Meghan has kept a relatively low profile since the return, however, she was previously spotted at Soho Farmhouse. She has also shared several snippets of her family’s new life in the UK, including splashing in puddles on muddy walks and cosying up by the fire.
In contrast, Harry has been out and about, including the 2026 WellChild Awards in London, where he told HELLO! his children have had “a bit of Monday morning blues” over his absence.
“But at breakfast this morning, I decided, ‘You know what? You’re being a little bit tricky, so I’m going to tell you exactly what I’m doing tonight.’ And they were genuinely fascinated and asking all sorts of questions,” he said.
“So, like with all of my work and their mum’s work as well, whatever we can do to try to instill some of that awareness, I think is absolutely crucial.”
