Heartbreaking update.
Gypsy Rose Blanchard and Ken Urker were spending some time apart when he passed away, but that doesn’t mean they weren’t still connected and communicating.
According to TMZ, their relationship was still on. They were even planning to move into a new apartment together. Before they did, though, they agreed some space would be a good thing. So Gypsy Rose moved in with her parents. It had only been a couple of weeks, the outlet reports, and she’d been moving their belongings into the new apartment in the meantime.

On the day of his death, TMZ reports, she even sent him a sweet voice message wishing him happy birthday and suggesting a FaceTime call so their daughter Aurora could wish him one as well. She sent it around 2 p.m., and it’s believed he listened to the message but never replied. His body was found just hours later.
The police report obtained by UsWeekly says officers found Ken dead in his bed at a Louisiana residence.
“His face and his arms were blue. He had a paper towel placed on his left arm with what appeared to be blotches of blood on the paper towel.”
Near him on the bedstand they saw a syringe, two shot glasses, and a gun. In the bathroom was a “brown powdery substance” and other drug paraphernalia.
He hadn’t shown up to work that day, so Gypsy Rose’s sister-in-law Anita Blanchard called 911 in for a wellness check. She described him as being “in a dark place” and noted he admitted feeling “depressed” at church the night before.
Gypsy Rose shared a tribute post for him on Instagram on Friday, captioning a carousel of photos:
“You will always be my greatest love story. You will be remembered and loved forever.”
Truly heartbreaking. May he rest in peace.
