The Blue Jacket Fashion Show celebrated its Diamond Anniversary in Los Angeles this week, taking over The W Hollywood on Tuesday, September 29, for a night that mixed real star power with a genuinely important cause. Since September is Prostate Cancer Awareness Month, the invitation-only event used fashion and celebrity to do something a lot of health campaigns struggle to do: get men actually talking about early detection.

WHO WALKED
The runway lineup was stacked across sports, reality TV, music and film. Dancing with the Stars pro Gleb Savchenko danced his way down the runway, while Ian Ziering — 90210 and Sharknado fame — walked while promoting his new hosting gig on “The Great American Road Rally: Celebrity Edition.” Actor and model Sam Asghari went shirtless on the runway and shared a kiss with girlfriend Brooke Irvine who watched along front row. Everett Osborne, currently starring in Tyler Perry’s “Why Did I Get Married…” ( the #1 movie on Netflix right now) also walked, following his turn in Sweetwater as the first African American player signed to the NBA.
The rest of the lineup included legendary singer Jon B, Love Is Blind‘s Brett Brown, Netflix’s Beauty in Black star Ricco Ross, Emmy winner Terrence Terrell (Giants, Obliterated), Blossom actor David Lascher, reality mainstay Jordan Wisely (Real World, five-time Challenge champ), and Jonathan Tanigaki of Hulu’s Paradise and the Wolverine video game.
NFL legend Rodney Peete also walked, alongside transformation specialist Corey Calliet (personal trainer to Michael B. Jordan) and pro cyclist and Olympic hopeful Dante Young. Celebrity DJ Dar Jar kept the night’s energy going throughout.
Beyond the celebrity names, the evening also featured four doctors at the forefront of prostate cancer research and treatment — Dr. Matthew Rettig (UCLA), Dr. Jun Gong (Cedars-Sinai), Dr. Przemyslaw Twardowski (Providence) and Dr. Daniel Daneshvar (UCI) — who walked the runway and shared their knowledge in interviews on the red carpet conducted by Nazy Zomorodian, NP, of UCLA.
A few standout moments off the runway too: businesswoman Savannah James (wife of LeBron James) posed with Ricco Ross and his wife Julie alongside designer Frederick Anderson himself. Tom Sandoval of Vanderpump Rules posed with Designer Frederick Anderson, and Rod Stewart’s son Sean Stewart attended in support of his father’s previous battle with the disease.

WHY THIS RUNWAY REALLY MATTERS
Prostate cancer remains one of the most serious health concerns facing men, and the disparities are stark. Black men are roughly 70% more likely to be diagnosed than white men, and twice as likely to die from the disease. The Blue Jacket Fashion Show was built specifically to break through that silence, using fashion as an entry point into a conversation men don’t always want to start on their own.
Founded in 2016 by designer Frederick Anderson and Laura Miller, the event has spent a decade turning a simple idea — a signature blue jacket — into a real symbol of visibility and advocacy. The Los Angeles celebration marked the third time the show hit the West Coast, sponsored by Johnson & Johnson, with Bloomingdale’s bringing menswear back to the runway to showcase Fall 2026 trends from designers carried in the LA market.
Ten years in, the Blue Jacket Fashion Show keeps proving the same point: sometimes the most effective way to get people talking about something serious is to make it genuinely fun to show up for.
