Uma Thurman wants more action in Dexter: Resurrection Season 2
Uma Thurman clearly wanted to take things up a notch on the stunt front. During an interview with Deadline, she doubled down on her desire for more action, repeating, “Not enough, I wanted more stunts. I wanted more stunts.” She also teased her character’s physical side by describing her as an “action person,” though she kept further details under wraps.
Charley’s job puts her in a twisted company and is tasked with guarding billionaire Leon Prater, but her duties stretch beyond ordinary protection work. She also helps assemble the serial killers invited to Prater’s exclusive get-togethers. It’s a role that plays to Thurman’s action-heavy résumé, particularly her work in Quentin Tarantino’s Kill Bill movies.
New York is about to become Dexter Morgan’s next hunting ground when Dexter: Resurrection returns to Paramount+ on Oct. 30. As per Deadline, Michael C. Hall steps back into the lead role, with Jack Alcott back as Harrison.
The new season also brings a fresh batch of dangerous faces, including Brian Cox as the New York Ripper and Dan Stevens as the Five Borough Killer. Bokeem Woodbine and Nona Parker Johnson, and Gabriel Luna round out the latest additions.
The Season 1 finale sends Dexter into a deadly showdown with Leon Prater, ending with Dexter killing the billionaire and breaking free from his collection of serial killers. He then escapes New York with files detailing other active murderers.
David Zayas is also listed among the returning cast as Angel Batista, though his fate in Season 1 raises a big question about how he’ll appear. Flashbacks could be one possibility, but fans will have to wait and see what the series has up its sleeve.
Season 1 of Dexter: Resurrection holds a 9.0/10 IMDb rating, while Rotten Tomatoes lists a 95% critics score and 90% audience score.
