EXCLUSIVE: The talent agency that reps Munroe Bergdorf has tied with Boldprint Studios to create a slate of digital content.
Diving Bell, which recently launched Universal Pictures movie Love & Rage: Munroe Bergdorf, will work with former Channel 4 entertainment chief Phil Harris’s Boldprint “to shape the next wave of culturally relevant, entertainment-led storytelling,” the pair said.
Diving Bell and Boldprint, who share a workspace in Brixton, South London, said they already have several digital-first projects in the pipeline, which they described as being “talent-led, culturally sharp formats built for digital-first audiences.”
The move is the latest example of agencies and traditional production houses combining. Diving Bell reps the likes of trans activist Bergdorf and feminist author Florence Given. The agency recently partnered with WME on a deal with S**t You Should Care About founder Lucy Blakiston. Diving Bell also struck a first-look deal with BBC Studios in 2022 and we have asked the firm to confirm whether this deal is still active.
Boldprint was founded by Taskmaster commissioner Harris in early 2024 and Fremantle immediately took a minority stake. The company made Swiped: The School that Banned Smartphones for Channel 4, an experimental documentary that sparked a national conversation over teenage smartphone use.
Harris said today’s deal is “rooted in shared values and creative trust with Diving Bell’s unmatched instinct for talent and our experience in format and execution.”
Diving Bell co-founders Justin Girdler and Kim Butler added: “We have loved working across various content opportunities with brands, networks, and platforms alongside our talent and have been looking for a way to grab the bull by the horns and start making more content ourselves. Boldprint share our passion for intelligent, impactful storytelling.”
