Kelsea Ballerini Thought She Finally Found ‘The One’ Before Second Breakup With Chase Stokes

This week, the pair ended their relationship for a second time. You may recall that they broke up in September, but got back together weeks later. Sources said earlier this month that they were “giving their relationship another try” after they “worked through some of their ‘issues.’” However, Chase hinted they called it quits again on Thursday afternoon when he dropped two posts to Instagram, saying he is “blocked” and “did nothing wrong. The Outer Banks star did not name names, but everyone knew the posts were about Kelsea because they unfollowed each other on IG.

A source for Us Weekly then confirmed the two split “this past week,” saying their relationship became “so rocky and toxic.” Kelsea reportedly “had a lot of trust issues” with Chase, and “jealousy definitely got in the way.” Oof. Fans knew about her alleged jealousy issues, supposedly with his ex-girlfriend/co-star Madelyn Cline. She wrote a whole song about it.

Of course, a breakup is never easy. Chase, specifically, is devastated by the whole thing. A source told Us Weekly on Friday:

“Chase is heartbroken. It’s been nonstop ups and downs.”

Oof…

We can imagine Kelsea feels the same way. We mean, how couldn’t she? The country music star reportedly thought Chase was her forever person. An insider told Us Weekly on Saturday:

“Kelsea hadn’t found someone that was as compatible with her until Chase. He opened up to her, and they had a relationship with more intimacy than she has ever had.”

She didn’t have that before? Not even with her ex-husband, Morgan Evans? Wow! The source continued:

“She felt he was the most committed to her out of all the guys she has ever been with. That’s why they worked so well, and that’s why she believed they would work long-term.”

But as we now know, things weren’t working between them. That is especially heartbreaking, as the insider said Kelsea believed the 33-year-old actor could be “The One.” Aww. They added:

“She never loved someone like this before. He was the type of guy who would not take his eyes off her. They were really in love.”

We heard she and Chase could give their romance another shot despite their latest breakups. Perhaps they need some time and space to work on their problems, and they’ll find their way back to each other again. You never know. For now, however, it’s done.
