Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet are “more solid” than ever before, but it hasn’t always been like that… And now we’re learning the secret formula to what keeps their relationship ticking!
On Wednesday, multiple sources spoke to the DailyMail.com about the Hollywood it-couple, who recently turned heads at a New York Knicks game for their oh-so-adorable PDA. But before the rainbow they’re now experiencing, the pair weathered a storm of their relationship that nearly sunk it. Late last year, breakup speculation swirled around the pair for MONTHS — from them refusing to really talk about one another in interviews, to reports that Timmy felt something was “broken” in their relationship, many thought the couple were on their last legs after first kicking off all the way back in early 2023. And now, a source is explaining why they got to such shaky grounds. The source told DM:
“[Kylie] was making him feel claustrophobic. She wanted to be around him all the time. That wasn’t working for him. He’s a person who needs his space and she wasn’t giving it to him.”
And it reportedly wasn’t until he tried to set boundaries that the dark cloud began to lift:
“He made no bones finally telling her about it. While he loves her, he needs his space. She totally gets it now and there are no more trust issues. They’re in a great place. Their relationship is more solid than it’s ever been.”

The source added:
“Kylie has learned what the secret is to her and Timothée’s three-year relationship. She now lets him do his own thing. That was something she was uneasy with when they first started getting serious. That caused friction between them.”
Well that’s certainly great to hear! Different strokes for different folks, but we’re glad these two were able to overcome them and flourish!
A second insider went on to reveal details about Kylie’s alleged “jealousy” issues:
“Kylie was initially jealous that she wasn’t spending enough time with him when he goes off filming, but now they talk to each other every day and every night when he is on set, and they hang out with each other often enough that any of those previous jealousy or trust issues are just not a thing anymore.”
The first source tagged on:
“Kylie is confident that she’s number one in Timothée’s life now. She used to be insecure in the relationship and she was open about it. She’s accepted he has friends and interests that don’t always include her.”
That’s great! We’re glad to hear that the Kylie Cosmetics founder can breathe a sigh of relief knowing she fully trusts the Marty Supreme star.
As for where they’re headed in the future, the third source claimed Timmy is “on board” with proposing to the makeup mogul at some point in the future:
“Nobody would be surprised if they got engaged soon. He refers to her to all their mutual friends as his partner. He is 100 percent on board and in love. He never spoke openly about any woman until he dated Kylie.”
The second insider went as far as to claim a possible proposal could be as imminent as this summer:
“If the Knicks actually win the title and get rings, don’t be shocked if Timmy suddenly feels a little more inspired to hand Kylie one, too. A championship parade in New York could turn into a very big year for commitments.”
