As the fandom around Off Campus continues to grow, apparently so does misinformation about what’s happening behind-the-scenes.
Series creator Louisa Levy called out one podcaster’s figures for the Prime Video show’s star salaries as “far from correct,” noting that gender pay parity is important to her as co-showrunner on the series based on Elle Kennedy’s books.
“Check your sources. These numbers are far from correct,” Levy commented on an Instagram video. “While this is absolutely an issue in the industry, as a female showrunner, I fight for gender pay parity in my cast.”
In the clip from the In the Vault podcast, co-host Ali Gray claimed that Season 1 lead Ella Bright, who stars as Briar University student Hannah Wells, earned just $20K per episode, compared to the $30K her counterpart Belmont Cameli allegedly made as her romantic opposite, hockey stud Garrett Graham.

While Hannah and Garrett will continue to appear in Season 2, Prime previously announced the sophomore season will center on Mika Abdalla’s Allie Hayes and Stephen Kalyn’s Dean Di Laurentis, based on Kennedy’s The Score.
Levy told Deadline, “We love the couples, so there is a passing of the baton that happens, but we also don’t want Hannah and Garrett to ride off into the sunset and disappear from the landscape of our show. They are still very much present in season two, and are a big part of the community of characters that we’re building on the show.”
Back in February, three months before Season 1 of Off Campus debuted in May, Prime Video gave the series an early Season 2 renewal.
