Savannah Guthrie is still desperately searching for answers about what happened to her mother. And her latest plea is absolutely heartbreaking.
On Sunday morning, the TODAY co-host took to Instagram to renew her appeal for information about her mother, Nancy Guthrie, who was kidnapped from her Tucson, Arizona home nine months ago.

As we’ve of course been reporting, the 84-year-old was reported missing on February 1, and despite an extensive investigation involving local authorities and the FBI, her family is still waiting for a breakthrough.
In her emotional new IG post, Savannah shared a drawing made by her own young daughter. The artwork depicts a blue umbrella surrounded by raindrops, along with a message that reads:
“I know it might not seem like it but I really need my mommy.”
Just devastating.
Savannah explained that her daughter’s drawing “says so much about how I feel” before describing the anguish her entire family continues to experience.
She wrote:
“For Annie and Tommy, for Cam and Kristine, for Mike and me and for all of mom’s beloved grandchildren: we ache for her, we cry out for answers, we cannot move forward. We need someone to help us, tell us what you know. Our mom was a light in this world. We want to celebrate her and give her the dignity she deserves. The reward is still available. Please.”
Of course, the family has been living with this nightmare for nine months now.
Investigators previously confirmed that Nancy’s disappearance involved a ransom demand. However, authorities have not publicly identified a suspect, and the investigation has yet to produce a significant breakthrough. And in July, investigators revealed that testing on a hair discovered inside Nancy’s home had not led them to a suspect.
And the search continues. The Pima County Sheriff’s Department recently revealed that members of the task force investigating the kidnapping traveled to Florida to consult with laboratory scientists about potential new ways to advance the case.

Meanwhile, Savannah described her mother as “a light in this world” and emphasized how profoundly the tragedy has changed her family. She pleaded for information that could help them find answers and give Nancy the dignity she deserves.
The television personality also reminded followers that a reward for information remains available. She concluded her post with one final, desperate appeal:
“We are begging you. Please help us.”
So sad…
Our hearts go out to Savannah and her entire family.
We can only hope someone comes forward with the information they so desperately need.
