Stassi Schroeder‘s audition tape for Vanderpump Rules didn’t age well — especially when it comes to her comments about her ex, Jax Taylor.
During Bravo’s Raise Your Glass to 11 Seasons special on Tuesday, November 25, fans were given a glimpse at every OG cast member’s audition tape — including Jax, 46, and Stassi, 37, who were dating at the time they were being considered for the show.
“This sounds so corny but I feel like we are soulmates,” Stassi told producers in the tape, which was filmed ahead of the show’s 2013 debut. “I could not imagine not being with him every single day.”
Stassi, who had been dating Jax for 14 months, said she had “zero doubt” that her then-boyfriend is The One. “I am sure that he’s The One,” she gushed. “I’m positive.”

Then there was Jax’s tape, which told a different story.
“She likes taking my wardrobe and throwing it out the window. She’s taking my computer and chucking it out the window,” he quipped. “She takes my phone, chucks it out the window. She has all my passwords for everything.”
Jax concluded: “But I kind of love it — in a weird way.”
Jax and Stassi’s ups and downs were a major story line in season 1 of Vanderpump Rules. The pair subsequently called it quits, but later reconciled as friends when Stassi returned for season 4 of Vanderpump Rules following a brief exit and years of not talking.
Kristen Doute previously revealed that there was a continuity error on screen connected to Jax and Stassi’s tumultuous relationship.
“There are a couple of scenes in this [season 1] episode that are from the [backdoor pilot] because truth be told, Stassi and Jax broke up the day before filming,” Kristen, 42, claimed while rewatching the Bravo series in a June 2023 episode of her “Sex, Love, and What Else Matters” podcast.
Kristen alleged that Jax and Stassi’s romance was originally explored in the backdoor pilot for Vanderpump Rules — a.k.a the season 3 episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills — that introduced the cast to the audience. Jax and Stassi, meanwhile, called it quits behind the scenes.

Bravo allegedly had to use archive footage from the 2013 episode to reintroduce Jax and Stassi as a couple when Vanderpump Rules was picked up to series.
“Everything that you saw [like] the big breakup at The Grove was also a real breakup. But they were on and off so the very first day of production they were like, ‘What the f*** do you mean you broke up?’ And Jax of course wanted to be with her and Stassi [wasn’t interested],” Kristen continued. “So, in order to do this introduction, they had this footage from months prior so they used that.”
She added: “You can totally see [in the group scene during the first episode] how Jax has long hair and Tom [Sandoval] has long hair. [And they didn’t in earlier moments].”
Stassi later found love with husband Beau Clark, with whom she shares kids Hartford, 4, and Messer, 2. Jax, for his part, tied the knot with wife Brittany Cartwright in June 2019 and they expanded their family with son Cruz two years later. They called it quits in early 2024.
After Jax and Brittany, 36, missed Stassi’s Italian nuptials with Beau, 45, in May 2022, the foursome individually confirmed that they are no longer on good terms.
