The Wiggles have been forced to issue a statement after being accused of endorsing drug use by appearing in a TikTok video with Aussie musician Keli Holiday.
Keli Holiday, whose real name is Adam Hyde, posted a TikTok video that shows him dancing to the lyrics of his single Ecstasy, which read “Hey girl come on dance with me/You and your pocket full of ecstasy.”
The video then cuts to the singer dancing alongside Anthony Field, the blue Wiggle and the Tree of Wisdom, Dominic Field.
Hyde captioned the post: “The Wiggles get it”.
The video, which has since been deleted, quickly sparked backlash from parents over concerns that The Wiggles were endorsing drug use by appearing in the clip.
The Wiggles this morning released a statement to the The West Australian saying that the group “does not condone” the use of drugs “in any form”.
“We understand that a video circulating on social media has caused concern for many parents and professionals, and we want to address that directly,” said a spokesperson for the group.

“The Wiggles do not support or condone the use of drugs in any form. The content being shared was not created or approved by us, and we have asked for it to be removed.”
“While Keli Holiday (Adam Hyde) is a friend of The Wiggles, the video and the music added to it were created independently and without our knowledge.
“Our performance at the TikTok Awards was family-friendly and fun, and this video was edited together separately and without our awareness.”
The group recently joined Hyde on stage at the ARIA Awards as he sang his smash hit Dancing 2.
The Dancing 2 music video won the ARIA Award for Best Video, which was made by Hyde and director Ryan Sauer.
The Wiggles were nominated in the Best Children’s Album category for their country album Wiggle Up, Giddy Up!
The group worked with country icon Dolly Parton for the album, which also had collaborations with other country stars.
They missed out on the win, with Emma Memma’s Dance Island Party taking the ARIA.
