Tiffany Haddish is telling her truth.
The Haunted Mansion star and rapper Common may have broken up nearly two years ago, but it sounds like they still have some unresolved business. Thursday, Tiffany sat down with the Washington Post where she conducted a bit of a post-mortem on her former relationship with the John Wick: Chapter 2 star, revealing some inneresting details about their demise… namely, that it didn’t happen how he said it did at the time!

If you remember, when the two split in November 2021, a rep revealed to People that following the COVID-19 pandemic restrictions being lifted, the former lovers became “too busy for a serious relationship.” Less than a month later, Common told Hollywood Unlocked with Jason Lee that while it was “the most mature relationship” he’d ever been in, the two just “stopped feeding the relationship,” as they focused on their careers. He explained they “came to the understanding that this is what’s gonna be best,” and that it was a “mutual decision.”
Soon after that, Tiffany hopped on the same show to clarify that his public comments about their breakup differed from what he told her in private, and that she was “very disappointed,” but was moving forward regardless.
Now, she’s spilling more details about how things went down.
During her conversation with WP, the 43-year-old claimed the split “wasn’t mutual,” despite what Common has said in the past. She explained:
“It was more him saying, ‘I think this relationship has run its course,’ and I was like, ‘OK. Like, you gonna be a 50-year-old single man. OK?’”
So the truth comes out!

The comedian further detailed that the Suicide Squad actor sort of began to withdraw from their relationship while they were still in it, opting to attend special events like a New York concert, a birthday bash for Barack Obama, and one for himself — and that he actually didn’t even INVITE her to any of them!
Damn, that’s cold…
Despite all that, however, The Afterparty actress still holds her time with the 51-year-old close to her heart. She called it “the healthiest, the funnest relationship I’ve ever had,” adding:
“It’s where I felt safest out of all the relationships I’ve ever had.”
As for now, she’s trying to remain a “positive person,” and is looking forward to finding a new “partner to experience [life] with” — and maybe even a kid?
The Night School star told the outlet that after experiencing her eighth child loss, she’s losing hope on carrying one herself because of “a uterus shaped like a heart” that “just won’t keep anything in.” But she’s not asking for sympathy:
“I don’t want people saying: ‘Are you okay? Are you all right?’ Like a wounded animal, I just rather go in a cave by myself. Lick my wounds.”
Instead, she’s remaining open about the possibility of adoption. She told Entertainment Tonight in 2021:
“I want to get somebody that … already knows how to use the restroom, already knows how to talk, already knows how to communicate. All I want to do is pour knowledge in … [and] get them ready for the big, bad world.”
We hope she finds what she’s looking for! What are your thoughts, Perezcious readers? Let us know in the comments down below.
