Julia Roberts may be one of Hollywood’s brightest stars, but when it comes to her family, she works as a strong team with her longtime love, Danny Moder.
Danny has devoted much of his life to raising their three children – 21-year-old twins Hazel and Henry, and 19-year-old Phinnaeus – out of the spotlight, and appears to be a loving, hands-on father.

Kids night out
Danny is always happy to step back and let his wife shine, and the cinematographer was glowing with pride as he smiled for a photo with his young family. Hazel, Henry and Phinnaeus all stood within his arms, and Julia was by their side.
The star previously shared that she was more proud of “the life that I’ve built with my husband” as they parented their children together.
“The life that we’ve built with our children. And that’s the best stuff, to come home at the end of the day triumphantly to them,” she said on CBS Mornings.

Danny supported Hazel at her very first red carpet appearance for the Cannes premiere of Flag Day in 2021, and looked so proud as the blonde beauty walked by his side. The father of three was suave in a black suit and tie, while Hazel was glowing in a yellow lace dress with buttons up the middle.
Julia shared on CBS Mornings that she wanted Hazel to find the same love that she felt with Danny. “I have the first letter he ever wrote me…And one day, I’ll show it to Hazel and say, ‘That’s, that’s what you’re looking for,'” she said.

Danny brought out his fun side for another family snap, as his children surrounded him and Julia and smiled for the camera. Their closeness was readily apparent in the photo as they huddled together to capture the moment.
Julia told 72 Magazine that she and Danny were always on the same page and strived to raise their kids to be good people.
“You know, we all want our kids to grow up with values. This is what we want as parents. I think part of it is just Danny and I are definitely aligned in our core values and always have been,” she shared.

The proud dad has always been appreciative of his wife and her dedication to their kids. On Mother’s Day in 2025, he shared a photo of the actress and their children taken on a day out, and captioned the sweet snap: “Mothers make the coolest stuff. Love these guys.”
Danny and Julia have worked to provide a safe place to land for their kids, who are now young adults.
“I think that is what creates the stability that then allows them to feel secure because you know there is this fixed world of love and safety that exists unconditionally,” she told 72 Magazine.

Danny clearly couldn’t wait to be a dad, as evidenced in the photo Julia shared to Instagram on his birthday in 2025. “Such a great joy in life to see you fathering! Happy Father’s Day dearest Danny,” she wrote in the caption, alongside a black-and-white picture of him holding her pregnant belly from behind in the ’00s.
