Tracy’s Reckless Investigation In Mayor Of Kingstown Season 3 Already Proved The Warden Was Right

Tracy began asking difficult questions in Mayor of Kingstown season 3, episode 6, even resulting in a potential nuisance to Warden Michaels, but the events in episode 7 proved the warden right in her suggestions to Tracy. Returning from maternity leave, Tracy immediately noticed Cherry’s pregnancy, even asking around because she believed it unusual. Soon, Tracy proved herself as Mariam’s heir in Mayor of Kingstown season 3, episode 6, when she confronted the warden about the circumstances that brought Cherry to become pregnant, clearly denouncing how a CO or a staff member must have been the one who assaulted Cherry.

Despite not telling Kyle about it in Mayor of Kingstown season 3, episode 6, Tracy was resolute in her fight to unearth what happened. Mayor of Kingstown season 3, episode 7 continued to show Tracy’s conviction in her quest for the truth, advocating for Cherry’s right to spend time with her baby and even asking her directly who attacked her. Cherry’s adverse reaction to her questions all but confirmed how Tracy’s hunch was probably right, but the final blow came in the form of direct threats to Tracy’s safety in season 3, episode 7’s ending.

Tracy’s Hunch Was Correct But Her Investigation Put Her In Danger

CO Breens could be initially mistaken for someone romantically interested in Tracy and friendly toward her, but Mayor of Kingstown season 3, episode 7 finally revealed why he kept an eye on Tracy. His dismissal of Cherry already hinted at something problematic, but looking for answers became dangerous for Tracy the moment Breens realized she was asking questions about what happened to Cherry that caused her to become pregnant. Breens’ threats came as a surprise, but they quickly established why secrecy was predominant in the prison, with the warden and Cherry herself skirting the truth.

While complicating Tracy’s path, as advocating for Cherry meant potentially risking her life after Breens’ threats, the events of Mayor of Kingstown season 3, episode 7 all but confirmed Tracy’s theory. However, the episode also proved the warden right when she suggested Tracy should call the anonymous tip line to “get the wheels turning.” Tracy dismissed her recommendation taking it as a suggestion to protect her career, but the warden’s emphasis on protecting everybody in her prison and Cherry’s hesitancy in telling Tracy anything close to the truth all highlighted how her investigation could have put Tracy in harm’s way.

Breens’ openly delivered threats showed not only how Tracy must have come close to the truth but also how secure he felt in his position that he could easily threaten a coworker without expecting negative repercussions. However, it’s unclear whether Tracy will feel secure enough to continue to fight for justice and for the truth to come out, as the prison didn’t seem could do much to protect her, especially after she dismissed the warden’s suggestions.

This would establish Tracy even more as Mariam’s successor, as she would aim to serve her community just like Mariam always did throughout Mayor of Kingstown.
